Stalham is the market town serving the northern Broads, and its mix of Victorian commercial properties and older terraced housing means there are plenty of redundant chimneys that need coming down before they cause damage.
The High Street area and the older residential streets off it contain a lot of brick-built housing from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, much of it with multiple chimney stacks that have been sealed off at hearth level but never removed. Stalham is further inland than the coast but still exposed to North Sea weather rolling across the flat Broadland landscape — mortar erosion is a consistent problem.
We take the stack down, make good the roof structure, and finish with a properly bedded and pointed ridge or verge to match the existing covering. Stalham is within our regular working area from Cromer — ring us for a no-obligation quote.
